I was wondering how mush time Mark and our other moderators spend trying to keep us in line?....I often find myself being moderated....well quite often....I know I'm not alone....I love my moderators and worry they may get carpal tunnel syndrome and high blood pressure keeping me and you guys ( you know who you are )  in line. I raise my glass and say salute......now moderate at will...... $@!#@! $@!#@! $@!#@! $@!#@! $@!#@! $@!#@! $@!#@! $@!#@! :)rotflmao :)rotflmao :)rotflmao :)rotflmao :)rotflmao

I have also been RE-DIRECTED to how to post and where. I "thought" I was doing the right thing but when I was explained the reasoning behind it all, it made sense. SO thank you ALL for helping me spread the little bit of knowledge in the correct manner and not kicking me off the site  :)clap :)clap :)clap .
And honestly, after looking at other RV sites out of curiosity, this is the only one that you can find SOME REAL INFO IN A REASONABLE TIME AND GET A RESPONSE!!! So once again thank you  ;) . For all you do this salute is for you.

I'm jumping on the couch, I'm jumping on the couch....

I would have done things differently if I had come here first.  *hugs*

I was moderated 3 times for my first 3 posts.  :D And here I thought I held the new-guy record. :)clap Maybe not?  i??

Isn't it nice to be able to just read down the topic titles of the message boards, or use the message search, and actually know what the topics are about?  I found that to be sadly rare on other forums.  I cyber-see heads nodding in agreement.

Do you hold the record for most posts moderated, Jess? LOL!  Heck naw.  Pretty much everyone has a topic or post "moderated" in some way or another.  Including myself.  In fact, I've moderated or deleted more of my own posts than anyone else...  Well, except for TJ, he knows he holds the record, but we go way back but he understands, as anyone who's been around a while does, that none of the moderation is intended for the detriment of any one member, but to increase the benefit to all members.

Having been on many forums and suffered the frustration of trying to get or find help, I have committed to eliminate as much of that here as possible by maintaining good organization.  A lot of that is done through following the simple posting rules, and as many of you have seen, I have no issue renaming and/or moving topics in order to help.  Seeing the examples of doing this, sooner or later, members pick up on it and it becomes second nature.

And you can find out how much time is spent by going onto the main board and scrolling to the bottom where it shows the latest posts.  Click on "more stats".  Also look at the number of page views we have and how they've increased since I moved us to a private host.  It's incredible!

Something many of you may have no clue about.  In addition to watching over the site day to day, Mark has also been working for several years breaking apart, catorgizing, and mapping many years of posts from the old MSN site (the ones that have those old dates on them).  That was a job all by itself that he took on.  From me at least,

Many Many Many Thanks Mark for all the work and tireless effort you have put into this site to make it what it is

Kudos to Mark for making this site as awesome as it is!  It is so easy to find things here!  Thank you Mark and everyone else for all your hard work.

I have to agree.  From the state of the site when Mark took it on and where it is today is incredible.  In addition, the hiccups along the way, what with changes to servers and keeping everyone in line, I for one cannot express enough gratitude.  Thanks Mark!!   :)clap
