While it seems the 16"X6" 8 lugs on 6.5" circle is fairly common for "take-off-wheels" I'm wondering if anyone has experience using these ( 5" offset wheels) with 235/85 R16 radials.

these tires have a section width of 9.3"
this leaves only about 5/8" with dually spacing, ignoring any extra bulge.

if it works i'm all for it.

I did this conversation. You might have to widen the rear wheels wells a bit. The off set puts the outter rear wheels very close to the wheel opening trim.

i've been using the ford dually rims with 235's on the rear for some time now. i haven't seen any tire rubbing at highway pressure--even fully loaded with water and gear.
as i recall though, i had to change the diameter of the alignment pin or, change the hole diameter so the pin would work.
