1990 Holiday Rambler Motor home paint job. Caution picture heavy post.

I have talked before that we are repainting our motor home on other posts so thought I would share what we have done so far.
First off, what a pain in the butt. A lot of work but it will be worth it in the end.







This is it pulling it to the shop right after we bought it.









After a good wash. Wheels are kind of shiny now









After many many hours removing the stickers with 3M's gum wheel.









Damage that needed fix.







Repaired.





Painted with PPG's single stage acrylic enamel. Paint is carbon gray metallic.





Other side and all sanded and ready for paint.





Bottom painted.





Third brake light need some TLC.





Gave it some TLC.





Ready for upper part.





Painted top half with PPG's acrylic enamel Silverstone gray metallic. Has a slight bluish tint in direct sunlight.





Taped and ready to paint trim.





Trim painted with PPG's acrylic enamel silver metallic.


We now just have the front end to sand and paint and all the painting is done.
I bought all new LED running lights, turn signals, porch light and so on to be installed now.
AND we have to recaulk the entire motor home.
Couple more months and the exterior will be finished.

Nice job!  We plan on repainting and re-striping our 89 HR Imperial in the somewhat near future.  I'm not looking forward to removing all the old stripes!  Definitely going to go with a bright white paint though...keeps it cooler on the inside so the AC doesn't have to work as hard or be used as often.
