hey its Thundercloud Ive got a interesting problem. I rebuilt my alternator and regulator and after I start my RV and it runs and I shut it off it acts like its dead. any input would be good. Thanks!

Why did you rebuild the alternator.  Was it not charging the starter battery?  If so, good chance there is a dead cell in the starter battery. Bad acting alternators will destroy a battery.

assuming you have tested your battery etc and it is good and the output from the alternator is good?  So it starts once then no more unless it sits... ?  need more info...

Also if its not a sealed battery did you check the fluid levels in the battery and top off any that are low with Distilled water?

Have you checked and cleaned all of the battery terminals and the ground connections at the frame and body?

What Rick said.  The symptoms indicate a bad connection.  Start at the battery terminals and go from there.
