My Minnie has an old Braund antenna on top of it and I would like to get some sort of tv going in it for the wife. What do I need or any suggestions for a good antenna on the cheap?

I have an 86 Chief with original antenna on it. It's working just fine with my Naxa 24" digital LCD TV. Scans the channels and finds/tunes them just fine.

I would see how your existing antenna works first before chaning it out.

I had the old antenna also.  I tried using it, but it did nothing.  I live in El Paso and camp in T or C, Nmx.  I am not sure if there was something wrong with the antenna or the distance was too great.  Could get nothing.  Finally gave up and bought the wineguard from camping world.  Was on sale for 99.  Came with amplifier which had to be used in my case in T or C.  Without the amplifier, no reception.  Maybe the old antenna was okay if used in el paso with stations close by, but store and camp with my rv in T or C.  Happy with wineguard.
