Hello All,

In another thread I posted the progress I'm making on the removal of the original headliner in my 96 Itasca. I'm also replacing the ceiling lights (delivery expected by this Friday) and now I'm looking at upgrading the AC ceiling vents. I think I've narrowed down my choses to the D&W Spaceport 8841 fully adjustable RV AC Ceiling Vent or the Aireport 5840 RV AC Ceiling Vent.

Any thoughts on this one?

Thanks.
John

Most of us have older coaches with just the AC unit hanging from the ceiling with air blowing out the front and back. No vent choices. I am thinking you have ducted air and heat?

After what you just said I'm almost embarrassed to say that I have AC ceiling vents and separate furnace vents in the cabinets just above the floor. I must have one of them there fancy RVs!  :D

Don't be, a 1996 is 20 years old. I would say that is a classic wouldn't you? As the site gets older the rigs get newer with newer being relative to the age of the unit. There may be some of the others that have the vented system. The HR's or Bluebirds.

Absolutely true. What's really ironic is that when I'm ready in about five years to upgrade my current Winnie with a newer more modern model, it will still be a 20 year old RV.

Yup, that's how us poor people work. ;)
