What years and models have the J-channel roof sealant issue ?

I have a newly acquired 92 Sunflyer and my Neighbor an 88 Chieftan, just wondering if either of these are affected by the self removing roof issue- I will check the sealant on mine once it warms up enough

Self removing roof issue? We had a member on here a few years ago that lost a roof while driving but that is the only one I have heard of. I have an 88 Chieftain that has a locking channel along the edge of the roof that was leaking bad. I did a write up on sealing it. You might want to be a little more specific on what you are looking for.

The '92 will have a fiberglass roof covering, those are the ones to watch the sealants to ensure the wind can't get under them. The '88 has an aluminum roof, with it's own possible problems due to water intrusion.
