Hety guys been a while since I posted. Can someone please tell me where he ground is for the instrument cluster. On my 89 chieftain 33 rq the fuel, temp, oil pressure, and voltmeter gauges are all in one cluster. The. Oltmeter works but eh other gauges don't. I've checked the fuses and none of hem appear blown. So it was suggested I check the ground but I don't know where that would be.

Hello: I have a 1975 Chieftain. You have to check behind the cluster and see where the ground leads to usually it is bolted to the chassis on a 10 gauge or less wire. (thick wire) It could be just a loose or corroded connection. I have found a bunch of ground problems on my Winnie also.

Good luck Also check out the clubs manual section there is a wiring diagram there and I think if I can recall there are manuals for the chassis posted.  Hope this info helps have a great 4th.

Check the ribbon plug on the back of the dash, they went bad a lot. There is also a solder trace in the circuit board that burns out so you will have to pull the dash out to see if that is it. You can solder a jumper wire across the burned area if that happened.
