Hi Folks.
I use ALDL Droid via a tablet on my dash and can see when the torque converter goes in to lock up. I noticed for the first time today on our return trip from Scotland that when going downhill at freeway speeds the converter comes out of lock mode when coasting or if I lift my foot of the gas. Mine locks up on the level at 50mph give or take.
Just wondering if this is normal as I've not noticed it before.
Thanks in advance,
Pete.

Normal, it keeps from dragging the engine along which adds emissions to the air. I prefer the engine braking. There are ways of keeping it locked through electronics.

Thanks Rick.
I'm surprised I've not noticed it before but in my defence the part of the tablet screen with the TCC info is directly behind the spoke on the wheel.
Is it worth doing a mod or just leave well alone ?
