Hi Everyone.
My '74 brave has no rear bumper, and after damaging both rear corners, I'm now replacing it. I have sourced a suitably massive box section to form the bumper as per the images I have found in the old catalogue, but don't know how the bumper would have been attached to the bumper bracket that attaches to the chassis and includes the spare tyre mount.
Does the box section bolt directly to the bumper bracket (I'm thinking of just drilling through, and bolting directly to the bracket), or did the bumpers have some kind of mounting plate to step the actual bumper away from the  bracket a bit (Im thinking I could weld something up that holds the bolts and seperates the box section from the bracket)?
Any advice would be very welcome!
My preferred option is to bolt directly to it. I can just drill and bolt straight up. Much easier.
Thank you!

I think I'm going to do that too.
Thank you.
