I just recieved my shurflo 5.7 pump. The fittings are straight pipe thread--not tapered. What are these able to be connected to? They make a barb end available but do not come with pump. Anyone know type of store that might carry these special fittings ( 2 o-rings go into pump body, barb on outside).Would like to go get parts as opposed to ordering and waiting some more.
Thanks

Go to this website:

Enter your state.  Look over the list of stores in your state.  Drive to one close to you and see if they have the part.  There's a good chance it won't be in stock, and they'll have to order it.  Depending on the part, it might take as little as two days or as long as forever.

If the first store doesn't have the part you want, you can choose a backup store (or two, or three, etc) to try next.  My guess, though, is that if one store doesn't carry the part in stock, another might not either.

You might have the best luck with a store that is also an RV repair shop (such as an RV dealer).  I'd guess they're more likely to keep parts in stock for vehicles that come in for repairs.

I think you should bring the pump back to whoever you bought it from.  When I bought my Sureflo, the box was sealed.  When I opened it, it had both the barb fittings, AND the pipe thread fittings.  I still have the other fitting kicking around here in some toolbox or another.

Long story short, is should have come with BOTH types of fittings.  Go back to the place you bought it from, and ask for the other set of fittings.

HOME DEPOT! Bring the sure flow and the nice people there will fit the fittings for you. Very inexpensive.
