We have a '76 Chieftain with the 440 that has sat for 10 years untouched.  We don't know how to change out the belts...more specifically, we don't know how to get to them.  Everything is so crammed, we don't know how to go about it.

Altenator -  Normally done easiest via the right front wheel well.  Pivot bolt is at the top.  Adjustment bolt is at the bottom.
Power Steering - Normally accessed from underneath.  The brake system blocks access from the drivers side.  If memory serves me correctly, the bolts are accessed through power steering pump pulley.

I think many of us had given up working on our own vehicles until we got a "Classic Winnebago".  Then we had to find every tool we ever owned, only to find out we don't own enough tools, and our vintage bodies don't bend like they use to.
The way to change belts is easy.  One busted knuckle at a time, lol.  Stock up on plenty of old clothes, hand cleaner, band aids and your favorite beverage.  Then invite someone over that thinks they can fix anything.
My "Wilbur" was a 10 year veteran of a driveway.  I had him towed home 5 years ago.  With plenty of work and "Busted Knuckles" we have enjoyed 6,000 miles of great vacations.
Sorry if I didn't really answer your question, but most things are just like an older car, only bigger,  Les
