Was wondering if anyone had heard of the 440 in these has reverse water flow? Just got asked that on a mopar site>  :)

Don't know exactly what they were referring to... could be any number of things.

The real "reverse flow' is a racing thing - modifying the coolant passages to go to the heads first, instead of the cylinder block. Doubtful you would have that (big $$$).

Could be the rotation of the water pump, created by the routing of a v-belt/fan belt/serpentine belt; but that would really only matter if you had a fancy non-stock, curved-impeller water pump. IMHO, the Mopar 8-straight-finned, non A/C water pump is the best for cooling. And wouldn't ya know?  It is what's called for in the parts book, too... p/n 3780196   Some of the high quality race products work well, too  Milodon, Mancini Racing, Mopar Performance (same product as stock p/n above), etc.

Or, could be the location of the inlet hose from the radiator. Mopar had two basic styles for the lower radiator hose (inlet): driver's side, or passenger's side.  No real difference here, either.

Who knows?

I reread the post and it was a 413 he was talking about! It was coolant to the heads first. Thank you
