Morning folks.  I am trying to help out Ed Prigmore.  He has a small problem.  (Besides his PC not working).

He has a new alternator, tested it, and it works super.  He is on  his third voltage regulator.  All of them test at 20V.  Any idea?  He says he should have 13.4V, he read in his manual.

Any clue?

Bill, Home again.

He got it fixed.  It was the battery isolater.  He was able to reduce the voltage by bypassing the isolater and he is running at 15.2 V now.  So, he is going down the road in two days.

Range is between 13.8 and 15.0 VDC.
Normal running voltage with charged battery is 14.2 VDC
If the voltage at the battery ramains at 15.2 VDC, then it will burn up the battery.
