hello, my cigarette lighter blew with a spark the other day so i took it out to replace it. i tested the hot line with a light and found it had no juice. i then tested the fuse panel (which is in my glove box, not sure if that is original or not) and found that 3 of the fuses had no juice going to them either.

questions are where does this power come from, straight from the battery or is there some kind of regulator in between ?

is my fuse panel bad or is the source bad?

the radio works, tail lights etc... please advise

thanks

I figured out why a couple of the fuses are dead.. some previous owner removed the cab AC unit. That explains at least one of the fuses maybe 2 actually. But i'm still stuck with my cig lighter not working.. no power. I might just put an aux one in the coach having read the other posts about that.

This is one of those times you need the wiring diagrams for the rig.  There are chassis diagrams (i.e. Dodge chassis) and RV Mfg. diagrams.  A dash mounted lighter for a MB300 van chassis would be the Dodge wiring diagram.  Unfortunatly you will need to locate a MB300 service manual to get that diagram.  We do not have MB300 diagrams available here on site.

I do have a dodge repair manual for basically all this type and vans.. It shows some information but I'm going to take it into an electrician to figure out my aux battery connections so I'll ask him about that too. Thanks for your help. I think there have been some modifications done to the wiring at some point so I need an expert to show me the way.. Give me a cam and a crank and I'll build u an engine.. give me a wire and i'm lost hahaha
