Change to MSD HEI low ohm cap and rotor?

Hey all you awesome mechanic types peoples!  Got a question.  The new MSD cap and rotor for our 454 came with 2 spring loaded rotor buttons.  The black colored one is for stock applications and has built in resistance so you don't get radio interference.  The brass one is for high performance applications and has very little resistance and low ohms.

I put the stock one in, but am now considering taking it out and putting in the low ohm one.  After re-reading the literature that came with the cap and rotor, apparently you get even better spark and less heat with the brass one.  Our radio doesn't work anyway, we don't listen to music while we drive so I can listen to the motor and whatnot, and if we do put in a new radio I can always put in a noise surpressor.

So, what do you think?  Should I stay stock, or switch it out for the low resistance one?  I'm just remembering the hole burned right through the bottom of the old cap and am thinking maybe low resistance and less heat might be the way to go.  Suggestions?

Thanks!

Personally I would leave the stock one in.  This is not a high RPM racing engine and your just not going to see any difference in your application.

Thanks Dave!  I trust your advice, so that is what I'll do.  I have the other one if I need it, but if it won't make a difference, why do the job again?
