Im going to buy a 73 Indian with a 413. The motor home is a long way away and would like to buy tune up parts for it locally. I dont know the chassis yet. I was wandering if I can just look it up under a 413 pick up dodge made or as the motor home. Any beta for me on this one folks

We used to have a 72 with a 413 engine, and no, they'll look at you like you have 3 heads if you ask for parts without having access to the Dodge Motorhome parts manual.  They can easily cross reference the Dodge part numbers.  It is available for download in the member's section.

Make sure you use a skirted thermostat for the 413...the thermostat will have a metal skirt at the base, and its critical because it redirects coolant down certain passageways...the wrong thermostat can cause it to overheat.  There are threads you can read here that talk about that and other specifics for the 413...just type it in the search window.

But that parts manual is going to be your friend.

Its a darn good engine, one of the best Dodge ever made, but its rare, so download the manual.
