MY '72 BRAVE ONLY HAS ONE FILL SPOT BUT HAS TWO FULE TANKS. IT HAS A SWITCH ON THE DASH BUT IT DOES NOT SEEM TO DO ANYTHING. IT LOOKS LIKE THE TANKS AER CONNECTED BY A HOSE. NOT SURE IF THIS IS ALL STOCK OR IF SOME ONE RIGGED SOMETHING UP. ALSO THE FULE GAGE ISNT WORKING, BUT THAT SEEMS TO BE SORT OF A PROBLEM  FOR WENNIBAGOS.

Doug;

We have a 72 Chieftain. Our rig has two fuel tanks also. At first I did not see the fuel filler for the main tank. Our's is located behind the spare tire on the back of the rig. We also have the switch,(which works a fuel selector valve) and two fuel gauges. Our gauge for the main tank works, but the Aux. tank gauge doesn't. Welcome to the group. I think you will find everyone here very helpful. Post some pictures of your Brave when you get a chance. By the way are you in the Northeast US? If you are you need to know about the NECWJ(2). This is the second annual get together for those of us in the Northeast. So far we have 8 members signed up. It is in Lake George NY. If you could make it, it would be great. (YES, Sob the shameless plugs will continue!)

A non-working fuel gauge isnt a Winnebago problem per se. It is a common antique vehicle problem. Any vehicle over 20 years old is likely to have a fuel sending unit quit, or a voltage limiter to the gauges quit, a little less likely to have a guage quit. I have had to replace sending units on several antique cars.
The sending unit for a Dodge based Winnebago can be ordered from J.C. Whitney, -jcwhitney.com- and I believe it can be bought in a Napa auto parts place. At Whitney they are about $17 plus shipping.

I had a '69 with the same arrangement: two tanks with a pipe connecting them.  I didn't keep it long as it was for parts so, I didn't get a manual for it.  The set-up looked stock, although I'm not certain.  - Sob
