Blocked Louvered panel on Refrigerator door

I just noticed that on my refridgerator inspection door The inside louvered panel (part of Sibir Kuhlapparate kit W V-8 ) when they installed it (rivited to inside of door) they totally blocked all the outside louvers (there is very little air entering )  Does anyone know if this is correct ? The only reason i can see  for this panel (part of roofvent) is to stop wind from blowing out propane flame wile traveling . i always open door fully when parked for max air flow But due to current project never noticed placement of panel wich if slots were aligned would redirect air flow down as it passes thru door wich makes more sense to me ? While the rear is convection cooling, I would think you would want easy unrestricted air flow.  You can see from from this video the entry air size of today's rigs

Thanks Dave Seems like not only do i have a improperly added panel i also have Too much clearance in the chimney and a large dead air space at the top . I will add a screen when remounting panel also !The replacement cooling unit is getting more efficent each season . I am now operating at #3 setting to maintain 35o in the fridge and 0o in the freezer Thanks Again Frank

If you want to make it even more efficient in hot weather, there are several kits that place a fan in the roof vent for forced ventilation. Some are just an on-off unit. The one that I have in my TT has a thermostat so it only runs when needed. It does make a difference.
