Adding air tank and pump for inflating tires?

I thought about putting a 10 gallon air tank under the rear of the coach with a pump hooked to it for repairs on tires and anything else. But is it worth it to have that since these tires are high pressure plus I do have a spare kinda plus 7 other tires on the ground? And have any of you full timers ever thought of having this to make things easier?

Yes. great idea. Now once you get the air compressor hooked up for flat tires, all we need is a T connection and some 1/4 line running to the front so you can power the new train air horn. (LOUD)  :)ThmbUp

If you have a generator, An easier way is a pancake compressor, it has a small tank and will make 110 LB air pressure. plenty for tires ,etc .a loteasier than a tank wich would only fill 1 tire. Once the pressures equalize, air flow stops so you can only use 1/2 of the air in the tank anyway.  Frank

I carry a small Cambell Hausfield from harbor freight. It has a tank & goes up to around 90 lbs. I don't run anything over this pressure & carry small air tools for blowing things off & tire filling. It runs on 110 vac so have a generator running & you're OK. C YA! GONMAD

If your just worried about filling your tires, I keep one of these on board.

But for tools and such, I'm with Frank, a small pancake compressor sure would be handy.

I have some air tanks that go on big rigs and fire trucks plus the 12v heavy duty compressor that can fill them. My genny is not running right now and if the motor runs then I get 12v. Yes it is a bit much but I have a big void behind the fuel cell so I figured I could put a tank or two with the compressor inside. I have only camped for long periods out of my pick up during fishing season so I didn't know if this would benefit me or just become a complicated toy for an RV.  And yes cosmic I am going to replace the horns on top with studder tone air horns because they are LOUD  :)ThmbUp  along with my siren and 100 watt PA.

Use extreme caution with the siren Any officer of the law hearing it will Arrest you and you will be charged with impersonating a police officer A Felony  Frank

Oh yes, I'm familiar with the laws about that. I'm not the fire chief no more but still have cool and loud toys. I'm mainly using that siren box because of the PA built in. I like to have fun but I understand the border of fun and illegal. Thank you for the warning though because some people would run it and give RVs a bad rap. In fact I had more lights and a stronger siren on my truck than the local PD and they hated it :)rotflmao
