Different electric outlet plug colors?

I have a 1986 Winnebago Chieftain WCN26 RH was wondering why the electric plugs are different colors some are white and some are black   Hm?

Ezra, are we talking about the outlets?  If so, it could either be that some are powered exclusively by the generator and others by shore power. Or it could just be the Previous Owner (here in known as the PO in future correspondences) decided to replace old ones with new..

yes the outlets,the way my gen is wired it goes from gen to junction box inside of a compartment where my shore power cord is locate so i have to unplug the shore power cord from the box to hook it up to external shore power could be PO did change them but they look factory.  i??

They would, they are easy to find at any home depot or lowes'.  They are the same as used in houses. I did the same thing on a '77 RV I had.

Time and moisture take their toll on electrical connectors.  Most likely a simple matter of one was replaced for one of many reasons.  Original are typically black

I think i figured it out all black outlets are on a GFI breaker, Bathroom, outside plug next to door and in cabinet next to sink.Went out with a volt meter and shut off breakers one at a time and tested all plugs and when i shut off GFI black outlets had no power but white ones did. if not factory at least i know now when a outlet won't work what to look for.

I painted all mine with plastic paint.... ....colors vary as to location.
