Hey guys, anyone ever had the hot air tube on the intake manifold that connects to the choke break before? Debating just removing the system and installing a manual choke cable. Thoughts? Can't find anything on eBay, haven't really looked at the junkyard though...

All that thing does is get the heat from the headers up to the air filter to provide warm air so the motor will heat up faster (choke) or something similar. Mine isn't even lined up put still gets warm air up to the carb.

You can either convert to manual, electric, or restore to original.

I had that problem. THe tube coming from the engine to the choke had a rusted hole in it. I patched it with liquid metal..  Seems to work fine now..

Hot air choke seems to be a pretty effective system, and should be easy enough to fix

Quite tedious to watch, but makes it clear enough how it works I think
