This may be somewhat lengthy:
Preamble - I am presently in Vancouver BC for a few months at a permanent site (family reasons) and hopefully heading north, then east, and then south for a few years.
Today I had to empty my BW tank, then flushed the hose with the GW. Came back inside and noticed a distinct sewage odor. It happens, so I waited for the rain to stop, got out my wash hose and BW tank wand - the one that spins with water pressure. Love this thing, when I use it all tank level sensors work.
Wiped off the wash hose and wand, brought them inside, then went to the hose bib to turn on the wash hose.
Walked back to the door and all I could hear was water spraying. Hauled everything back out and turned off the wand lever. I know I checked it prior to bringing it inside.
Obviously I knocked the lever to open while bringing it inside and did not double check before turning on the hose at the bib.
The spray these things put out is amazing. There was absolutely nothing inside of my unit that was not wet.
Morale of the story - Anything you do, double check. Just takes a minute.
                             - Don't turn the water on until you are able to actually use it.

Further to this, I had two composting toilets in my boat. Best thing I ever did. Intentions were to change the head in the Brave to composting this summer. This intention has now been moved forward.

Nah............... I think I prefer the Natures Head Toilet that we have.  Worth every penny and you wouldn't believe the amount of water you save by not flushing a regular toilet.

Had two "Air Heads" on my boat - almost identical to Nature Head. Again, the best thing you can do to eliminate the myriad problems with BW with an RV.
Problems with BW on a boat are compounded by at least 5 times.
Thanks

PS - Good thing re water ingress is that it was all "fresh".
Bad is that due to hay fever I have changed a lot of the flooring to wood. This will be a test - Maybe it is good.
