I think the mount for the idler arm is what was causing my shimmy.  No parts house or dealer can help.  You guys are the experts! What is the factory word for what Camping World calls the Super Bell Crank?  This is what I think I need, but CW wants $369 plus tax etc for it.  Help,Ed

Tried NAPA, and they cannot help.  The part number on the thingy is 3941740. Chevy house cannot cross reference 'cause it's too old.  Appears to be adjustable but I don't know how.  Any sugestions?  Ed

go to napa and have them get you the rare parts chassis book and look up a 20489 or 20172  looks like if you find the correct one for your rig you can rebuild your's

Don't have Camping World's p/n but they call it the Super Bell Crank and want $369 for it.  Too rich for my pocketbook.  Ed

Chev chassis parts - there is a company - www.stepvanparts.com  (www.millersupply.com)  that specializes in the P-30 chassis that was used in the Chev-GMC Panel/Curbside delivery vans that had the same chassis as the Winnebagos - they also have some Ford chassis parts and may carry some Dodge parts in the future - hope this helps!

It is called a "Bell Crank" and the fore mentioned one from Henderson Line Up is incredible.  http://www.hendersonslineup.com/products/supersteer-bell-crank-p3032.html

I had a lot of play in the driver's side bell crank and purchased and installed the bell crank from Henderson Line Up. It was a dramatic improvement. The problem with a factory replacement models are they are difficult to find and a poor design at best. They are made with a pin and bushing that out of the box will have play in it. They are also prone to premature failure and within a short amount of mileage you will be purchasing and replacing it again. The Henderson Line Up bell crank has tapered bearing just like the wheel bearings on your motor home. Because of that it can be adjusted as it wears which makes it a permanent replacement. You will never need another one again.

Here is a photo of the one that I installed:

Back when I was researching this for my motor home I had found a website that had all the factory part numbers for bell cranks, but I have looked through all my favorite links and can not find it. I was on a ultra tight budget at the time I had to replace this and  from all the research I did it was more cost effective in the long term to purchase the one I ended up with.
