4.0 CCK starts/runs fine. Hunts & shuts down after 10-15 minutes

Confused that's an under statement. Thanks lads. It's all good stuff. Really appreciate you taking to help out. I'm going out to tinker and will let you know what happens.

I had this same situation with my 4.0cck. Oil was seeping up though the o ring on the little rod..getting on the points and sputtering it out.  I even went so far to track down a complete new unit.. (Green t , the rod, points-- full unit replacement) Thankfully I didn't have to use it. When I compared the new unit to my old, I realized that the o ring gasket around the little rod wasn't installed on the new unit.  So, realizing they were the same minus this o ring-- I went back to my old unit, removed the o ring that was around the rod.  Problem solved. Hasn't done it since.
