Converter Bench Test

Hey boys is there any way to bench test this Converter to see if it's working and the charger is working Hm?

if you scroll down and look to your right under PD-694 it gives you a PDF of the owners manual but doesn't say anything about how to check to see if it works or the charging system works. Hm?

In the beginning man simply wanted to power his 12VDC stuff from a 15 amp house circuit.
The PD694 was only a converter with no charging capability. Essentially it is just a 12VDC power supply.

Plug it into 120 and see if it puts out 12 volts or so?

This is totally different from my Boondocker, but to bench test the Boondocker you hook it up to shore power, and test the 12 volt leads coming out. With nothing attached, the Boondocker puts out 13.2 volts if its working right. Since yours doesn't charge, it should put out around 12-13 volts...at a guess anyways...lol

Hmm, buy a cheap headlight, hook up to 120AC and the output to the 12VDC headlight and see if it works? Oh, switch has to be in transformer position for converter operation. In battery position the converter is OFF. Later PD converters had a built in automatic switching relay. Yours does not.

Use table lamp to see if the 110VAC breakers work (Remote 1 and Remote 2).

Is the Part Number (with options) sticker still on it. Appears that if you have Option D there is a 3 amp battery charger included.

This is the tag on the converter.

It says:

Transformer : Input 120VAC 60Hz 3.5 AMP-OUTPUT:12VDC 20AMPS DC * includes Battery Charger (Option D) 3 AMPS MAX.

I would expect the battery charger would be ON when switch to transformer. You most likely will see around 13.6VDC on the battery leads.

High everyone!:) I have the same converter. Are those buttons circuit breakers? Because, I cant find the coach fuse box anywhere. And i have been everywhere on Winny looking for it. So, I am wondering if those buttons are the breakers I have been looking for.... It has been kind of a bummer cause my furnace won't turn on...
