Have 73 19' Brave with 360.
Shift cable at transmission connection is broken.
Can still drive if transmission lever is moved manually.
Dealer says that cable is only around in bone yards.

Any suggestions?

here's a couple of suggestions;1. monicatti @ 810-977-1700 lots of cancelled and nos parts.2.bouchillon @ 843-744-6559 or, www.bouchillonperformance.com. they make the 727 kickdown cable kit and might have a suggestion.3. i think a morse control cable could be adapted to work but i haven'nt really researched the idea.

Chip,
Thanks for the tips.As a temporary fix, I have drilled a 3/16" hole near the top ofa 1/2" bolt and attached it to te end of the cable. The swivel was rusted tight and after freeing it, I wired it to the bolt. Works fine for now

I bought a new tranny shifter cable from dartman67 @ aol. com. It cost $108, and I was delighted to get it. denison
