I need to replace the Mirrors on my 1972 Stacraft Starcruiser, need a source for these Thanks, Dave.

I got some a while back.  I did a web search and found a whole lot of sources, some of which had a vintage style.  Don't recall any links though, I ended up getting them from a fellow with a small shop in Louisiana.  All stainless steel, for just over $106 total, including shipping.

Pretty common item.  Google them, I think you'll have lots of time searching... unless, you want original ones, then... you've got quite a task.  Maybe junkyards.

When I searched (Google) found lots of sources.  The 68 F-17 has jr west coast mirrors.  Some real cheap ones.  http://www.amazon.com/CIPA-47500-Coast-Stainless-Steel/dp/B00029WSZ4/ref=pd_sbs_auto_1         :)clap

Yes!  That's it, JD... tons of JR west coast styles.  The regular ones have larger, upper mirrors.  You can find chrome (not really recommended due to rusting), stainless steel, black & white.

Here's a view of mine...  I'd prefer having larger top ones and there's room for them.

don't forget to look at truck stops. some of the large ones like the one off the dallas pike exit in west virginia on i-70 have rather large accessory   "chrome" shops.

I just bought these mirrors and I cant seem to match up the bolts with what was on the rig originally. And I cant seem to undo the original ones which are rusted tightly together. Obviously (now) the new ones are 1/2 " vs the original ones at 9/16". I would love to use these new mirrors, however I am at a loss to find the correct size and type of elbow brackets like the original ones that came with my rig. Any ideas?? Thanks!

If the mirror length is correct and the new bolts will fit the holes (you said old 9/16", new 1/2" which a little smaller), then You basically left with taking a hacksaw to the old bolts (or Dremel cutoff wheel).

I have had supreme luck finding great deals on them on ebay.  The seller truck-trailer-direct is a good seller on there and sold me my stainless ribbed mirror heads for about $10 each, best offer.  Lots and lots of options on there for them.   Here is a link to their store  http://www.ebay.com/usr/truck-trailer-direct?_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2754

My dad and I were able to fab up some with some aluminum, trial and error and a drill press... bent to get the angle right and all new stainless bolts, washers and nuts. You might try that. The "stick" of aluminum was like $8 bucks or something and I had a lot left over for other projects.
