One thing to remember is that if you put an isolator in the charging circuit of a Dodge chassis, the factory ammeter will no longer work.  On the other hand, if the ammeter starts working again, then you know that the diodes in the isolator have gone bad.  I don't pretend to understand why it is this way, maybe someone with more electrical savvy can explain it.  Rick
