I was on such a high at getting my electical problems at the dash worked out, and literally in the same hour found that the starter won't crank anymore.

What I know....

Starter is new and does crank.
Ignition switch is putting out a strong 12 volts on the yellow line in back (when turned to the start/momentary) position.
What info I have says that that wire would go to the neutral switch (have tried various positions on the shifter) then to the starter relay.
I get no voltage on either of the small wires on the starter relay with key to start.
Jumping the 12V hot side (incoming) of the starter relay to the same side small wire kicks the starter.

My assessment is that I'm loosing power to the starter relay somewhere between the ignition switch and starter relay.  Can anyone confirm that the only thing between point A and B is the neutral switch?

As a side note, we are having 32 degree days and 20 nights so I'm not discounting a frozen widget.

Is there life after motorhome?   Hm?

P30 chassis uses what is reffered to as  magnetic starter relay:

It used to ensure full voltage/current is applied to the starter.  Please refer to pdf page 351 of the 1988_ST-350-88_Chevrolet_GMC_Light_Truck_Wiring_Manual_Complete_11x17.pdf manual

I would check the connection at the ignition switch also.If you need the magnetic starter relay,i have one i am selling on Craigslist.

Ranger:  Thanks for the tip.

Dave:  Thank you that's what I needed and is apparently the only wiring diagram I DIDN'T have.  I was able to determine that the neutral switch was the only thing from point A to B, and found a bad plug at the switch.  All good now.

Now on to the furnace.  Nice write up on that topic  :)ThmbUp
