I am having an issue with the wiring for the on dash aux battery on/off switch. Last night the switch was not locking on or off and would just cut the power when released.  I removed the switch from the dash to inspect it and in the process some of the wire connections came loose off the switch and I am not sure the order they plug back in. Does anyone know the locations for where the wires plug into the switch. Switch has 6 pin spots. This is on a 1988 winne supercheif.

I just would like to know where each of the 6 wire connections plug in in relation to the switch on the dash.  A picture would be very helpful if anyone has one.
I live in my converted Winnebago full time and with no power that will be a nightmare.
Thanks a ton.

Winnebago does not have electrical diagrams online for rigs prior to 1990 however, operation of a Battery Disconnect is the same no matter where it is installed.  In order to maintain the relay in either a ON or OFF condition a mechanical operated disconnect relay is used.  The ON /OFF swiitch only supplies power to the relay during the time you physically select the switch.  It reverses the direction of the current for OFF or ON.  The relay mecahnically latches in either the ON or OFF position so it does not have to have power constantly to it to stay energized. So, I doubt your problem is in the switch.  It is most likely a bad relay.
Best I can offer for wiring is a later model wiring diagram: http://www.winnebagoind.com/diagram/1990/098993.pdf
Turn to pdf page 3 for how a Aux Battery Disconnect switch is wired to the relay.

Ok, You should have the same setup as mine and the diagram Dave sent you is the one that covers it. But what Dave is describing is the battery disconnect switch and you are describing the battery auxiliary switch. On mine it does lock in but from what I have been told it is not supposed to. I have read both versions. I know I can push my switch to the left and it clicks in and stays there and will charge the house batteries from the alternator. If sitting and not running it will also charge the chassis battery from the converter/charger. I will see if I can get my phone up behind the dash tomorrow morning and get a picture of it. The main problem is all of my wires I believe are purple, that is not going to help you if they are.

He said "dash aux battery on/off switch" which is why I went down the aux battery disconnect switch path.

If it is a aux battery disconnect switch issue, he can temporarily jumper across the disconnect relay with jumper cables like shown on page 37 of the 88 Operators manual until he gets it fixed.

Thats ok, your wiring diagram covers both. I remember when we went through this with mine several years ago. It is raining right now but when it stops I am going to try to get a picture of the back of the switch. Don't know if I can get my phone up there or not.
