I've got a 73 Winne Brave and of course the speedometer reads in MPH not KPH. Has anyone tried putting in another speedometer gauge that read kilometers? I was thinking of finding a suitable gauge at a wreckers from another vehicle like a Dodge truck or whatever would fit.

Other than recording the milage and making sure that was maintained in case I sold it later, does anyone know if this could be done or is it matched to somehow to the cable and rear-end or where ever it reads from.

The other alternative is to simply put some stickers or cheat sheet over the exisiting speedometer.

Just wondered if another speedometer could simply be dropped in.

Thanks

Hey Mate,
I don't know were you live but up here in Canada you can get little stickers that you can stick on your current speedometer just under your MPH speedometer. It's a hole lot more frugal than trying to replace your whole unite.
