replace 8.00 R 16.5 LT tires with 8.75 x 16.5 load range E?

Hi. Would anyone know if I could replace 8.00 R 16.5 LT tires with 8.75 x 16.5 load range E?  Worried about rubbing or height problem.  Putting on 83 chevy tioga g30 class c.  Is there a chart to check with?  Looked through here but nothing about this.  Thank you.

I think maybe he is worried about clearance between the duals? I don't know if his has dual rear wheels. 1 1/2 extra inches on a bias tire may make it close.
