Square Brave Windshield Glass Loose

Square cornered windshields on the Brave can come loose.


I have replaced my windshields on my Brave and used professional Polyurithane Windshield sealants only to have them come loose.
I was very careful to follow the instructions but the bond failed 3 times.


After the third time, I researched other sealants and found that Roofing Polyurethane sealant has more flexibility. We will see how that works. Installed it 2 June 2020.

In 69 were the windshields bonded or gasketed? I didn't think they started using bonded windshields til the mid 70's-early 80's.

Did you use the gaskets and then urethane them in place ? or did you just bond them to the previous sealant ? if the latter I suspect you had contamination- there is a cleaner and primer to use over old urethane.
