Looking to temporarily hook up a tach to set the idle speed on the carb. Anybody have any suggestion on where to ground the tach? Ground to engine? I don't want to wire all the back to the neg on the battery. Thanks

Grounding to engine is fine, just be sure it is a good clean ground.

Thanks Rick. Worked well. Put a new dizzy, master cylinder and carb on the old 318. Set the idle air and timing and she is running like new.
