Positive Solar Charge Controller Wire Hot To Touch.

Is it normal for the positive wire to the Charge Controller to be hot to the touch? I have 3 100 watt panels wired to a single 12 volt deep cycle battery, if that helps

What gauge is the wire. You may need larger. You should be using 10 or 8 ga. Prefer 8.

No, if both negative and positive are hot - would be a lot of current - if only one of them is hot - bad contact, or bad cable.

Retighten all the screws.

Not sure I don't have a gauge measured can I use a measurement caliper instead?

I think you nailed it l, the screw connector is messed up on the controller I think I need to replace the controller
