How do I hook up to shore power?

I have an 83 Itasca suncruiser. And im not sure if i need to do anything when i hook into shore power.. I know it's a stupid question, but i couldn't find a switch or anything and i don't know if it will do it automaticlly. Does anybody know?

I don't believe you have do do anything but plug it in - On my 76 chief the only thing i have to change for the genset power or shore power is plug the power cord into the proper out let -- most of your systems are 12 VDC  with the exception of roof A/C and 110VAC recepticles ) - when you plug into the genset or shore power it converts the 110VAC to 12 VDC for most other systems - if you leave it pluged into shore power for an extended period you should check battery liquid level as it can evaporate the batteries when being charged by the converter    --- Sea Hag

Excellent, Thanks Sea Hag. I hadn't even thought about checking the 110V Plugs. I just figured they didn't work.

The outlets are powered through the converter also on seperate 110 VAC breakers - they are only active when pluged into the genset or shore power - there should be a fuse pannel on the front of your converter with the 110 VAC breakers and 12 VAC fuses for your other systems . some of the refigerators have dual or triple operating scorces 110 VAC / 12 Vac / Propane and some furnaces have 12 vac and 110 vac operation also - so Keep exploring and playing with things - you might get a operators manual from winnebago there is a list of them under manuals they are photo copies but they help .  Sea Hag
