Sources for Steering Column Boot

I have a 1975 20 foot Brave.  The steering column boot is "history."  The steering column passes through this boot and the metal plate bolts to the floor, sealing off the coach from the outside.  Right now, I can see the ground, as I am driving along. 

I have searched the message link and tried Winnebago.  No luck! 

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can get a replacement boot?

Thanks in advance.  I could not keep my Winnie running without the information that I have obtained on this site.

I would see what kinds of boots the auto parts places (the ones that sell wheel covers and car radios) might have for a shifter boot, or J.C. whitneys web page. The thing would need some trimming, but might make a good seal anyway. If you want to try and get the original item, you would need to get the mopar 7 digit number from the parts catalog. I could look up that number this coming weekend. Then you could try a napa outlet, or one of the online mopar specialists.

Dodge P/N for 72-74 chassis steering shaft boot is 3637094 with a retainer (metal plate holdown to floor) P/N of 3637095.  I do not see anything for a 75 chassis, however most rigs use the previous years chassis.   Thats the info but like Denison said, you most likely will have to adapt something else.

Last month I got a replacement steering column boot, Dodge part number 3637 094, for my 1973 RM350 chassis from Mike Lewis at Tennessee RV Sales, Littleworld2000@aol.com.  Don't know if the 20' Brave has the same chassis as the 22' Travco, but the boot is probably the same.

Just picked one up from... you guessed it, the Magic Junkyard.  There are at least another 2 in good shape there.

I would also think that checking the cabs of older trucks; Dodge pick-ups from the same years or other trucks, and heavy duty trucks might yield a usable boot.

It has a velcro closure and you don't have to pull the column.

As many things as I've gotten from Summit and JEGS, I never thought to look for the steering column boot.
