What kind of generator oil should I use?

I believe i have the original onan generator in my 70 Cheiftain, it runs great. Checked the oil , and its a bit low. What type of oil does it take?

My Chilton's book shows the following regarding oil for the onan:
( note the LK is the single cylinder model and the CCK is the horizontally opposed model)

Temperature              Oil SAE
Degree F
Above 90                 50 (LK series only)

32 to 90                   30

0   to  32                  10w or 5W-20 (CCK only)
                                10W-40 or 5W-30 (LK only)

Below  0                  5W-20 (CCK only)
                                5W-30 (LK only)
