Gas Mileage: Straight 6 Ford 300 cid

What kind of gas mileage should I expect to get since the early " F " series Winnebagos are smaller but so is the in-line 6 cylinder 300 Ford engine?

Our 1970 F-17 gets about 10 mpg.
There's not much differance in size on the Dodge 318.
The F-17 is 6000#s with gas, people, 2 dogs and supplies.

I have a F-17 and get between 6 - 10 mpg, depending on which way the wind is blowing and if the road is flat or hilly.  Mostly 6 - 8 mpg.
