I'm guessing its just the pickup tube not being down in the tank enough, or that the pickup tube is corroded, but our rear fuel tank acts empty now if its not at least 2/3rds full.

Or it could be old fuel lines and the suction is being limited by the distance.

I'm not sure yet, but I'll keep you all posted.  I'm going to add 10 gallons to the front fuel tank and make sure its not a carburator issue, but for now we are delayed a day...we were going to leave today for Arizona and so I added 10 gallons to the almost empty rear tank to make it to the gas station as the front tank is bone dry.  It starts and runs, sort of, at idle...but give it the gas, and it acts fuel starved...you can keep it going with ether, but that isn't exactly the way to travel.

The carburator is new, and properly adjusted...we'll see what happens tomorrow when I add fuel to the front tank...it was running fine when we got here, but the rear tank was almost full...we ran the genny a lot here at Fort Myers.

Well...we figured out what was wrong...one of the clear plastic fuel filters underneath...the one leading from the back tank...was defective!  It LOOKED clean, but the paper element inside had come loose from the plastic casing...and was just floating in the gas.  So, the gas wasn't even getting filtered...which means the filter in the carburator clogged right up...I couldn't even blow through it!  I replaced the carb fuel filter and both underneath the rig, and she fired right up and was running fine.
