Well.

We took it out this week after rebuilding/balancing the driveshaft, and installing a B&M shift improvement kit & the biggest trans cooler I could find.

We filled it up until it spilled fuel and then drove 345 km return trip( 210 miles)

It took 60 liters (16 US gallons) to fill it till it spilled when we got back.

If my math is correct, that is around 13 mpg US. While that is a huge improvement over the 6-7 mpg we used to get-the best improvement is in how much fun it is to drive now.-We actually pulled out and passed other RV's that could only maintain 45 mph on hills.

I am REALLY starting to have fun with this thing....

Anyway, we are loading it up in the morning for another trip, and I will re-check the mileage.

Wow!  Even if you were getting 10 mpg, it would be huge improvement and a major reduction in fuel costs.  Track that mileage and report it back to us, would you?  Also, It would be great if you would add a message on this board, something like, "benefits of B&M Transmission Shift Kit for 440", so everyone can reference it in the future.  Also, the cost, how it is installed (self or mostly needing a mechanic?) and any links or sources for the kit.
