Fixed a fuel leak!

So I started Excalibur today...and there was fuel leaking like a sonofagun from under the rig!  I looked under, and it was a fuel line that had split on one of the new fuel filters!  I had to cut it back almost a foot and reroute it...Someone had scored the whole last foot with a razor knife for some unknown reason, and it wanted to split again until I cut if far enough back...WHY do previous owners do such stupid and idiotic things?
