I have a buddy that just installed a marine radio (am/fm/cd/mp3) on the outside of his Waifare (spelling?) motor home. He picked it up off eBay, speakers and all for around $95. They are water proof.
He cut a hole into the bottom out side of the rig and then cut holes for the speakers near the wheel wells. Pretty sweet idea, if you are a big music buff. This runs off the coach battery. Did I say its water proof?
God grant me calm seas, A helpful wind, A good catch, And a safe return home

That's a great price and a good idea!  That modification has been very popular.  Marine speakers are specifically designed to withstand wetness.
