No coach power from generator or alternator

Well, I am posting on this really old thread because the title of the thread matches my issue.  You might want to reclassify my post, or re-title it, I am not sure.  I just know this is my question.  The proper wiring of my RV.

Situation:  1978 Georgie Boy Cruise Air
                   Dodge 440-3

When I am plugged in, everything works fine.  When I start up the Onan 4.0 BFA, the generator hums along nicely.  But, I have NO power inside the coach at all.  When I start the motor, the motor starts fine.  But, I have no power inside the coach at all.

So, the only time I get power in the RV is when I am plugged into the wall.  The genny runs fine, but does not power the coach.  The alternator runs fine, but does not power the coach.

How do I get the genny to power things inside the coach, and how do I get things to run off the alternator?  Meaning, when I am going down the road, I need to keep the milk from spoiling.

Have you identified which is the chassis battery and which is the battery(ies) for the coach.  My simple mind say no coach battery but again D:oH!   My 68 does that but no coach battery yet!

I was looking and thought I better finish off this thread.  This situation was solved.  The actual problem was the fuse box had a blown circuit AND the power cord coming out of Shelby was re-wired backward.  All better now.

This is what being a member of such a fine community gets its value.  With guidance from the experienced, knowledgeable, friends here, anyone can track down a problem, the most difficult being wiring fixed by POs who didn't have the kind of help you find here.
