reducing tire air pressure for sandy beaches (tube tires)

So ive been going out on sandy neck for years. Started with the truck camper. Got a class C got out there no prob. Sold everything... bought a house and now have a old 72 Dodge class A that i fixed up and have yet to take it out there. That being said, I just realized that it has tube type tires. Can I deflate tube tires to the necessary 18lbs to go on the beach, or will it pinch the tube?

Can i put tubeless tires on my rims now ( that are not tubeless)

Sorry not sure about the tubes. Doesn’t sound like a good idea; you could also get slippage on the tube tire combo. Had that on a old Harley one time.

Are you running stock rims? I have aftermarket rims that run tubeless. I picked them up cheap from a 4x4 shop, a lot of people upgrade their tires and rims here. I drop from 55 to 20 PSI front and 25 PSI in rear. We have soft sand and that works great on the eastern shore of MD (I am also 4x4 you can see my pics). If you look for aftermarket rims, 4x4 shop, eBay, Craig’s list. Make sure they are standard size. I have a hard time finding 16.5 tires. I will most likely go with 16" rims next time around. Have new BFG’s now, 33x12.5x16.5.

are you looking to sell them cheap?   Im looking for a set now, found an 73 winne on Craigslist being parted out, but he wont return my calls.   I was hoping they are tubeless type.  Anyone know where I can find an old set of rims that will fit an M300. ill try a few other places
