Anyone familiar with Transawn 2000 awning?

I have this awning on my rig and PO said he never opened it! In order to unclip it I need a ladder! but cannot get it to open, anyone have any experience with this? I Googled it and it appears to have come with a VW Westfalia! so much for needing a ladder! wondering if I should remove it

Yes, thank you! I did see this, that is why I will probably remove this awning. It is much to high to reach and open much less to close back up without a stepladder.

So, this can't be opened with a long metal rod like on my class A?

I have not seen a rod on this thing anywhere

All awnings require a long rod to operate It is probably missing  See Sands Rv for equipment  Frank

does the rod you are talking about undo and close the 3 clips on top?
