I have a overhead, headphone jack (1/4 inch) just above and behind the passenger seat on the 'Goose' and was wondering if any of you other folks (especially you guys with Holiday Ramblers) have one as well and if so do they work?

I plugged in a set of phones today with the radio on and didn't hear anything regardless of which way I set the toggle switch.
Here are a couple pics

A shot of the headphone panel

I took it out to double check the wiring attachments and they all seem fine.

The wiring itself goes back up into the cabinet and they are all clearly labeled still..

And all are in great condition.

Hoping one of you all can help....

I have the headphone jack, but I have never tried using it because I don't have any headphones with that big of a plug.

I'm with HandyDan on this on. I've been curious but haven't tried it.

Hahaha, I finally went to Radio Shack and got a 3.5mm - 6.35mm(1/4in) diameter adaptor just the other day to try it.  I have been wanting to see if it worked for sooo long. I'm now stalking the thrift stores for an old school set of Mickey Mouse Ear head phones like the ones you see folks wearing in the older RV brochures...

I don't have that plug so I can't help, however that would be an AMAZING option to have seeing as I'm the only one in the family who isn't terribly fond of Disney movie soundtracks

So, been so busy with other stuff, the least of which is work I forgot to tell you that using the 3.5mm to 1/4" adapter yielded no results..  And yesterday I found myself a nice new set of old headphones! Go team Goodwill!

Nothing says Old School, like a 1/4" phono jack!

Gotta love em!

This bad boy is equipped with the latest in early 80's tech. ,such as individual volume controls on each ear and a switch that allows you to switch from Monaural to Stereo sound!
The headphones themselves work great, however I still was unable to get any sound from the jack plug in the RV..
My next step is to look at the stereo wiring under the dash, which Ironically is easier to get to from the top of the dash. (You other 80's HR owners will know what I mean)...
