I have installed a Hot Rod (110V electric water heater that is added to water tank )  After 6 yrs i just had to replace the thermostate unit I have not used the propane hardly at all since installing it . I highly reccomend this conversion P.S. I had purchased a complete kit as a spare a couple yrs ago for $10.00 at a flea market .The heating element is still going strong  Frank
