Swapping hydroboost brake pedal rod

Hi, been working on refurbishing the brake system on my 78 Winnebago Brave and i'm stuck atm. The Hydroboost i got didn't come with the brake pedal rod and my question is do i need to disassemble the hydroboost to get the rod out or is there some trick to it. Here is a pic of my old one next to the new one....aswell as how to get the mounting plate swapped over.

K, i found out one way to do it is with a vise and pipe wrench, but the issue i see now is the mounting plate will prevent a pipe wrench from getting a firm grip, its beveled in such a way that it comes over the large nut that needs to come off to get the pedal pushrod out i do believe

Dodge Manual says you have to break the mounting bracket holding nut with a chisel and replace it
